The problem
UK drivers often find out about a toll, a clean air zone or a congestion charge after the fact, when a penalty notice arrives.
What we decided
- Organise everything around before, during and after a journey, and keep that order on every screen and page.
- Work alongside Google Maps and Waze instead of trying to replace them.
- Make colour carry meaning: yellow for the brand, blue for navigation, green only for money genuinely saved, red and amber for risk.
- Use the Pilot, a yellow car, as a signal that changes with the situation, from safe to approaching a charge to relieved, not as a mascot.
- Help with penalty appeals without promising how they will turn out.
Where it stands
- The launch site and waitlist are being built, with a referral queue for early drivers.
- Routing that can steer around charges is being set up on its own server.
